The transformative influence of Generative IA on learning and teaching
ABSTRACT:
The emergence of artificial intelligence has brought about profound changes in several fields, namely: health, industry, and education. Generative artificial intelligence has not just changed the way information is processed and disseminated; generative AI has changed teaching and learning practices for both students and teachers. the use of generative AI in higher education institutions offers major opportunities to improve teaching practices, personalize learning, and prepare the next generation for the challenges of tomorrow. For that teachers and educators must integrate IA tools into their instructional practices, and for university adapt strategies to use generative IA in teaching courses and encourage students to use it consciously is a necessity.

Identifiability and Observability of Structural Damage from Vibration Signals: A Theoretical Framework for Predictive Structural Health Monitoring
ABSTRACT:
Vibration-based structural health monitoring is increasingly used to support predictive maintenance of civil engineering structures. However, before any statistical, data-driven, or physics informed method can claim to identify structural damage, one must first determine whether the damage variable is mathematically inferable from the available measurements. This paper develops a theoretical framework for analyzing observability and identifiability of structural damage from vibration signals. Civil structures are modeled as parameter-dependent dynamical systems under partial and noisy observation, and damage diagnosis is formulated as an inverse problem. Within this setting, five non-equivalent notions are distinguished: state observability, damage-parameter identifiability, damage detectability, scenario distinguishability, and estimability under uncertainty. Three main results are established. First, observability of the structural state does not imply identifiability of damage parameters. Second, sparse or poorly designed sensing may destroy local identifiability even when the full structural response is informative. Third, environmental and operational variability can transform theoretical identifiability into practical non-identifiability. The paper further discusses the implications of these results for artificial intelligence, physics-informed structural health monitoring, and maintenance-oriented decision support. The proposed framework provides a rigorous basis for interpretable, robust, and decision-relevant structural diagnosis in civil infrastructure.

Talent Management and Organizational Innovation for Enhanced Logistical Efficiency in Port Logistics
ABSTRACT:
This study examines the interplay between talent management and organizational innovation as key drivers of logistical efficiency in port logistics. In an increasingly competitive and dynamic global trade environment, ports face persistent inefficiencies despite significant investments in infrastructure and technology. This paper argues that enhancing human capital through structured talent management practices such as recruitment, competency development, performance management, and leadership planning , combined with organizational innovation mechanisms, can significantly improve operational performance. Drawing on theoretical perspectives including the Resource-Based View, Dynamic Capabilities, and Sociotechnical Systems Theory, the study highlights the importance of aligning people, processes, and technological advancements within port ecosystems. Furthermore, it explores how digital transformation, collaborative networks, and knowledge management contribute to optimizing cargo handling, yard operations, and overall supply chain integration. The findings emphasize that sustainable improvements in port efficiency require a holistic approach integrating talent and innovation strategies, supported by effective governance and continuous performance evaluation.

Integrating explainable AI into logistics information systems to enhance confidence in decision-making
ABSTRACT:
Logistics Information Systems (LIS) are increasingly leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance forecasting accuracy, scheduling efficiency, routing optimization, and inventory control. Yet, the opaque or “black box” nature of many AI models often limits their acceptance by decision-makers who demand transparency and accountability. This paper introduces a conceptual and experimental framework for embedding Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) within LIS. The objective is to make algorithmic decisions more interpretable, foster user trust, and support system auditability. A prototype focusing on demand forecasting was developed and tested through a comparative evaluation between traditional black-box models and explainable models. The findings highlight a balanced improvement between predictive accuracy, user understanding, and satisfaction. The paper concludes with user feedback and recommendations for advancing transparent, trustworthy, and human-centered AI applications in logistics.

Towards smart port management: the combined contribution of IS and IoT
ABSTRACT:
This article examines how the combined use of information systems (IS) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies supports the transition toward smart port management. It reviews the operational roles of port management systems, transportation management systems, geographic information systems, smart sensors, RFID, LPWAN networks, drones, and connected monitoring devices. The analysis shows that IS provides the digital infrastructure for collecting, processing, sharing, and interpreting port information, while IoT extends this capacity through continuous real time sensing of cargo, equipment, traffic, and environmental conditions. Their integration improves decision-making, port-flow coordination, predictive maintenance, container traceability, resource allocation, safety, and environmental performance. The article also identifies key implementation constraints, including cybersecurity risks, investment and maintenance costs, interoperability requirements, and organizational resistance to change. Illustrations from Rotterdam, Singapore, and Los Angeles show how smart-port initiatives combine data platforms, connected devices, automation, and sustainability measures. The study concludes that the value of digitalization does not lie in isolated technologies but in their coordinated integration within a secure, interoperable, and human centered port ecosystem. Future port competitiveness will therefore depend on the capacity to combine technological innovation, change management, public policy, and sustainability objectives in a coherent digital transformation strategy.

Tourism Recovery Beyond Growth: Resilience and Territorial Transformation
ABSTRACT:
It has always been said that tourism is one of the most vulnerable industries to any kind of disturbance or changes in the international environment. Any economic, security, and environmental crises can quickly change the flow of tourists and destabilize regions that depend on tourism. In such situations, the capacity of tourism territories to adapt and retain their attractiveness turns out to be a crucial problem for academic and practical research aimed at analyzing regional development and sustainability. This article will explore the connection between tourism crises, territorial adaptation, and sustainable development by using the example of the region of Marrakech-Safi in Morocco. Being one of the main tourist regions in the country, it can serve as an ideal background to analyze the reaction of territories dependent on tourism during crisis times.

Smart Public Infrastructure in the Digital Age: Implications for Public Service
ABSTRACT:
This article examines how smart public infrastructure is reshaping public service delivery in the digital age. It explores the role of cyber-physical systems, interoperable data platforms, Internet of Things technologies, and advanced analytics in improving service accessibility, operational efficiency, transparency, citizen engagement, and resilience. The analysis highlights that technological capability alone is insufficient: effective transformation depends on data governance and privacy safeguards, interoperable standards, sound infrastructure governance, sustainable financing, accountability, and public trust. Particular attention is given to risks of digital exclusion, ethical and legal concerns, and the need for performance metrics that capture efficiency, citizen satisfaction, and equitable access. The article also examines implementation challenges, including organizational change, leadership commitment, investment requirements, and cross-sector stakeholder engagement. It argues that smart infrastructure should be designed as a public-service ecosystem rather than as a purely technological upgrade. The study concludes that the long-term value of smart public infrastructure depends on aligning digital innovation with inclusive access, institutional resilience, transparent governance, and sustainable public policy, enabling governments to deliver more responsive, adaptive, and citizen-centered services.

Generative AI and the Metamorphosis of Marketing Professions: A Systematic Analysis of Opportunities, Threats, and Future Organizational Transformations
ABSTRACT:
The rapid integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is fundamentally reshaping the marketing landscape, moving beyond simple automation toward a profound transformation of professional roles and strategic functions. This paper examines the dual nature of GenAI in marketing by identifying operational opportunities, including hyper-personalization, automated content creation, predictive decision support, and scalable storytelling, alongside structural threats such as algorithmic opacity, brand-equity erosion, ethical dilemmas, skill obsolescence, and the dehumanization of customer relationships. Using qualitative document analysis of major industry foresight reports and established academic literature, the study interprets these developments through the mechanical, thinking, and feeling AI framework. The findings indicate a transition from execution-oriented marketing roles toward strategic orchestration, where professionals increasingly guide AI systems, protect brand authenticity, and exercise ethical and contextual judgment. The analysis supports a co-intelligence model in which human intuition, emotional understanding, and cultural awareness complement AI efficiency and computational power. The study provides a conceptual framework for organizations seeking to manage the AI-driven transformation of marketing professions while maintaining customer trust and meaningful human oversight.

Decentralization and Financial Autonomy of Local Authorities: A Comparative Analysis of Regionalization Models
ABSTRACT:
This article presents a systematic review of the literature on financial decentralization and the autonomy of local authorities, with a particular focus on the model of advanced regionalization in Morocco. Following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, a rigorous analysis of 30 academic articles and institutional reports (Scopus, Web of Science, OECD, IMF) was carried out. The study identifies a typology of three governance models: centralized, intermediate and advanced. The results show that real financial autonomy, a necessary condition for the effectiveness of local public policies, depends more on the capacity to mobilize own resources and local taxation than on state transfers. The analysis of the Moroccan case reveals an ambitious reform but faced with a structural dependence on the central government, thus limiting territorial performance. The discussion underlines the crucial importance of institutional capacity and digital transformation as levers for success. In conclusion, the article argues for a transition from formal autonomy to autonomy of responsibility, indexed to measurable development objectives.

From Financial Rigidity to Strategic Agility: Exploring the Determinants of Organizational Resilience in SMEs during Crisis Periods
ABSTRACT:
This study investigates the determinants of organizational resilience (OR) in Moroccan SMEs during crisis periods, analyzing the influence of cash flow management (CFM), digital finance (DF), and pricing agility (PA). A quantitative research design was adopted, utilizing a sample of 100 SMEs. Data analysis was performed using a two-stage structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. Scale purification and exploratory analysis were conducted via IBM SPSS Statistics, while the measurement model validation (CFA) and structural hypothesis testing were executed using IBM SPSS Amos. The results reveal a « Financial rigidity paradox »: Cash Flow Management exerts a significant negative impact on resilience (β= -0.151, p < 0.05), suggesting that excessive internal liquidity monitoring can hinder strategic flexibility. While Digital finance shows no significant effect, pricing agility emerges as the primary driver of survival β= 0.981, p < 0.001), confirming that market responsiveness outweighs internal financial optimization during crises. The article contributes to dynamic capabilities theory by demonstrating that strategic agility is a superior survival mechanism compared to traditional accounting discipline in emerging economies.

Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning: A Strategic Lever for Competitiveness and Innovation
ABSTRACT:
Knowledge management has become a critical determinant of organizational competitiveness, sustainability, and innovation in knowledge-intensive environments. This conceptual review examines how knowledge management supports organizational learning and contributes to the development of sustainable competitive advantages. Drawing on publications, conference contributions, and academic literature, the paper synthesizes perspectives on knowledge as a strategic organizational resource and reviews the main processes of knowledge creation or acquisition, storage, dissemination or transfer, and translation into action. The analysis highlights that effective management of tacit and explicit knowledge can strengthen access to expertise, knowledge reuse, collaboration, adaptation, and collective learning. Prior empirical studies reviewed in the paper generally associate organizational learning with overall performance, innovation, strategic flexibility, project outcomes, employee satisfaction, and human resource outcomes, although evidence concerning direct financial performance remains mixed and may depend on mediating factors such as innovation, market orientation, and human resource practices. The study concludes that knowledge management is most valuable when embedded in organizational processes and connected to learning mechanisms, enabling organizations to transform individual expertise into collective capabilities, innovation, and long-term competitiveness.

Artificial Intelligence and Parliamentary Discourse: Transforming Political Communication and Advancing Automated Discourse Analysis
ABSTRACT:
This article examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping parliamentary discourse and the broader ecosystem of political communication. It focuses on the growing role of natural language processing, speech-to-text transcription, real-time translation, sentiment and stance analysis, topic modelling, and framing analysis in the study and mediation of legislative debate. Drawing on a conceptual synthesis of the literature cited in the manuscript, the article analyses how AI can enhance the accessibility, speed, comparability, and traceability of parliamentary communication while enabling cross-country and cross-lingual research. The discussion also considers democratic implications, including transparency, public engagement, representation, and trust. Particular attention is given to the risks associated with algorithmic bias, discourse homogenisation, surveillance, consent, unequal performance in low-resource languages, and limited explainability. The article argues that the value of AI in parliamentary settings depends not only on technical performance but also on institutional safeguards. Responsible adoption therefore requires robust data governance, algorithmic transparency, auditing, interoperability, inclusive design, and sustained human oversight. Together, these conditions can help position AI as an analytical and communicative support tool rather than an autonomous substitute for democratic judgement.

Emotional Challenges and Coping Mechanisms Among Adolescent Siblings of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder: An Applied Perspective on Innovative Psychosocial Support
ABSTRACT:
This article examines the emotional challenges and coping mechanisms experienced by adolescent siblings, particularly those aged 11 to 17, of children with autism spectrum disorder and considers applied directions for innovative psychosocial support. Drawing on stress-coping, familyresilience, and social-ecological perspectives, it synthesizes how caregiving demands, unequal parental attention, family stress, perceived inequity, social isolation, and limited access to services may shape siblings’ emotional, behavioral, and social adjustment. The article reviews emotionfocused, problem-focused, and help-seeking coping responses and highlights the protective role of parental support, balanced family roles, peer connection, and school and community involvement. It further identifies family-centered interventions, psychoeducation, communication and emotionalregulation skills training, peer-support groups, and flexible school- or community-linked delivery as promising support mechanisms. Attention is also given to cultural sensitivity, ethical practice, scalability, and intervention evaluation across family, school, and community settings. The article concludes that sibling-focused support should be integrated into broader autism services and designed as a multi-level system that strengthens adaptive coping, emotional resilience, family communication, and timely access to psychosocial assistance.

Urban logistics as a lever for the energy transition: a qualitative analysis of corporate practices in the Casablanca–Settat region
ABSTRACT:
In a global context marked by climate urgency and the need to transform production systems, urban logistics has emerged as a strategic lever to support the energy transition. In Morocco, national decarbonization policies—particularly the National Energy Transition Strategy and the National Sustainable Development Strategy—aim to promote a more resource-efficient logistics system integrating renewable energy, mobility electrification, and flow optimization. However, the actual contribution of urban logistics companies to this transition remains understudied, especially in emerging metropolitan areas such as Casablanca–Settat, the country’s main economic hub. This study examines, through a qualitative approach, how urban logistics contributes to the energy transition. It is based on an investigation conducted with three logistics companies operating in the Casablanca–Settat region, in order to analyze how they integrate energy transition principles into their urban operations. Preliminary findings reveal a contrasted dynamic: while some firms are already adopting innovative solutions (solar energy, electric mobility, algorithmic route optimization), others face organizational, financial, and institutional constraints. This research contributes to the literature on sustainable urban logistics and proposes avenues for strengthening the energy transition within Moroccan logistics systems.

Public–Private Partnerships and Container Terminal Performance
ABSTRACT:
Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have become an important institutional arrangement for financing, developing, and operating container terminals. However, the performance effects of private participation are not uniform and depend on the interaction between governance, contract design, risk allocation, regulation, and the operational capabilities of the terminal. This conceptual and comparative review synthesizes the mechanisms through which PPP arrangements may affect container-terminal performance. The analysis organizes the literature around four performance dimensions: service delivery, terminal capacity, operational efficiency and productivity, and investment and financing. It then compares the expected effects of concessions, operating leases, build-operate-transfer arrangements, and performance-based concessions across regional contexts. The review suggests that PPPs can support productivity, throughput, service reliability, investment mobilisation, and operational flexibility, particularly when contractual obligations are measurable and the private operator has adequate incentives and capabilities. These potential gains are nevertheless conditional. Weak regulation, excessive market power, politically motivated renegotiation, inadequate hinterland connectivity, and poorly allocated risks can reduce or reverse the expected benefits. The article proposes a performance-oriented governance framework that combines transparent risk allocation, competition safeguards, monitoring indicators, accountability mechanisms, and sustained investment in intermodal and green infrastructure. The review also identifies priorities for future empirical research, including longitudinal designs, comparable terminallevel datasets, and broader social and environmental performance measures.
