ABSTRACT:
All scientific research is based on a certain worldview, employs a methodology, and disseminates results aimed at understanding, explaining, predicting, or modifying phenomena. Knowing what one is looking for—or the research subject—is a necessary condition for any research work. It constitutes a key element of the research process and reflects the researcher’s project and knowledge goals. The objective of this paper is to provide some guidelines that can help researchers formulate their research subject in a relevant and coherent manner to carry out their thesis, dissertation, or the writing of a research article.
