Inclusive preschool education in Morocco: citizenship issues and the benefits of digital technology for children with ASD

ABSTRACT: Preschool education in Morocco has become a major issue in national education policies. In this context, the objective is to promote inclusive education for children with disabilities and to foster the development of citizenship skills from an early age. This is part of a global vision to ensure equitable access to education and prepare early childhood to become active and engaged citizens in society. In this proposal, we will analyse the impact of inclusive preschool education on the overall development of children, in particular with regard to their preparation for citizenship and social engagement, and examine the challenges and obstacles encountered in the implementation of inclusive preschool education in Morocco, taking into account issues related to the training of educators and infrastructure. To do this, we will seek to answer the following questions:
• What are the effects of inclusive preschool education on the cognitive, social and emotional development of children in Morocco, and how do these effects contribute to their civic engagement?
• What are the main obstacles faced in the implementation of inclusive preschool education in Morocco, and what are the most effective strategies to overcome them?
To address these questions, we will adopt a quantitative approach by conducting an online and/or field survey. The results of this research, as well as the findings from our study, will be presented and shared during the communication, providing a concrete and empirically based perspective on the challenges and opportunities related to the inclusion of children with disabilities in preschool education in Morocco.

The Innovation Nexus in FLE Instruction: Navigating the Human-AI Relationship for Equitable Transformation in Morocco

ABSTRACT: This article analyses the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the teaching of French to Moroccan learners, highlighting the pedagogical transformations. AI offers major advantages: personalised teaching via precise diagnoses and individualised pathways adapted to the local context, automation of administrative tasks, improved assessment through data analysis, and the creation of innovative and interactive teaching resources taking into account Moroccan cultural specificities. However, the integration of AI in Morocco poses challenges: the risk of dehumanising teaching, the need for ongoing training and adaptation of methods, inequalities of access and the digital divide exacerbated by regional disparities, and questioning the role of the teacher. For Moroccan students, AI enables personalised learning, access to a variety of resources, and greater autonomy and motivation. However, there are risks of dependency, inequality of access and impact on critical thinking. Thus, responsible and balanced integration is crucial to maximise the benefits of AI while minimising its risks in the Moroccan context.

Human Capital and Organizational Resilience in SMEs: A Narrative Literature Review and Theoretical Framework

ABSTRACT: This paper examines the theoretical relationship between human capital and organizational resilience in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through a narrative literature review. Based on post-positivist epistemological approach, it synthesizes theoretical and empirical insights from organizational behavior, strategic management, and entrepreneurship literatures. The analysis reveals that human capitalserves as a critical determinant of organizational resilience during crisis periods. While existing research demonstrates the strategic value of human resources, significant theoretical gaps remain regarding the specific mechanisms linking human capital dimensions to resilience capacities in SME contexts. The study proposes an integrated theoretical framework connecting human capital to absorptive, adaptive, and transformative resilience capabilities. This framework offers new theoretical insights for understanding how resource- constrained SMEs can leverage their human assets to build organizational resilience in volatile environments.

Common misconceptions and myths about sexually transmitted infections

ABSTRACT: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are surrounded by numerous misconceptions and persistent myths that can have harmful consequences for public health. These erroneous beliefs often concern modes of transmission, symptoms, treatments and prevention of STIs. For example, some people mistakenly believe that STIs cannot be contracted through oral or anal sex, or that STIs are always accompanied by visible symptoms. These misconceptions can lead to risky behavior and delays in screening and treatment.Another common myth is that STIs only affect certain population groups, which can lead to stigmatization and discrimination. In reality, anyone who is sexually active can be exposed to STIs, regardless of age, sexual orientation or social status. It’s also wrong to believe that hormonal contraception methods protect against STIs, or that you can’t be infected again after treatment. These misconceptions underline the importance of comprehensive, factual sex education to combat misinformation and promote safe, responsible sexual practices.

Amazigh music: tradition and modernity

ABSTRACT: Amazigh music is one of the pillars of Morocco’s intangible cultural heritage, reflecting the history, beliefs, and social practices of its communities. This article examines how this musical tradition has stood the test of time, adapting to sociocultural and technological changes. The issue at stake is understanding how Amazigh music manages to preserve its authenticity while integrating modern forms of creation and dissemination. The methodology is based on a documentary and comparative analysis, drawing on academic, ethnomusicological, and institutional sources. The results highlight three main areas: the persistence of strong social and identity functions, the emergence of new hybrid artistic forms, and institutional promotion through festivals and digital media. The conclusion emphasizes that Amazigh music perfectly illustrates the fruitful tension between tradition and modernity, while remaining an essential vehicle for identity and cultural transmission.

Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education: The Case of Learning French as a Foreign Language at Moroccan Universities

ABSTRACT: In a context of Moroccan higher education in the midst of a digital transformation, the integration of generative artificial intelligence (AIg) tools is giving rise to new learning dynamics, particularly in the field of foreign languages. The ESRI 2030 Pact, which aims to establish a model based on academic and scientific excellence while strengthening economic and social inclusion, highlights the digitalization of education and encourages the development of online learning. It is in this context that the growing use of smart tools, such as ChatGPT, in the learning of foreign languages and more particularly French as a Foreign Language (FLE) raises crucial questions about the way Moroccan students appropriate these new digital resources. While these tools offer considerable potential to improve the quality of written productions, particularly through grammatical and lexical correction, their adoption remains uneven. The impact of AIg varies depending on the level of user experience. While some students, especially those with an advanced level, seem to be able to fully exploit these technologies, others, less experienced, struggle to take advantage of them or make excessive use of them, sometimes without critical reflection. This study focuses on the exploration of the use of ChatGPT by Moroccan students of the Faculty of Sciences of Rabat (FSR) in their productions written in FLE. It is particularly interested in the way in which the appropriation of the tool varies according to the level of linguistic competence and the degree of digital maturity. Through a qualitative approach, the research seeks to highlight the differences in the use of generative artificial intelligence and to identify the factors that condition its effectiveness in improving the production of writing.

Translating Bermanian concepts: between terminological fidelity and theoretical recreation

ABSTRACT: This study includes an examination of the issue of translating concepts in Antoine Berman’s « Translation and the Letter or the Inn of the Far Away, » based on a comparison of the translation with the original. The aim of this comparison is to understand the extent to which the translator has successfully transferred Berman’s concept. We begin by providing an overview of Berman’s approach and his considerable contribution to the field of translation studies. Then, we analyze the transfer of some key concepts from Berman’s theory by determining the strategies and mechanisms used in this transfer, as well as the difficulties and problems encountered by the translator Azzedine El khattabi, who must have significant linguistic and cultural knowledge of both the source and target languages. Finally, we propose solutions to overcome the problems that hinder effective translation of the concept that underlies any transfer of theories.

Towards optimised communication: integration of artificial intelligence in adapted physical activities for autistic children

ABSTRACT: Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) often have a combination of countless impairments, including difficulties in language acquisition and use. This negatively affects the quality of their communication and therefore their social integration. Remedial methods are sometimes powerless in the face of the wide range of cases of children with ASD (Rodriguez et al., 2012). These approaches are based on behavioural and educational therapies to develop social and communication skills. These interventions are sometimes not very flexible and cannot meet the needs of all subjects (Haas et al., 2019). In contrast, Lee & Lee, 2021; Hammes et al., (2022) present adapted physical activity (APA) as a structured context that promotes interaction and learning through its power to develop socio-motor and social skills (Marin-Suelves et al., 2023). According to Li et al., 2024; Kamalov et al., (2023), encouraging horizons in the field of ABS are emerging with the advent of new technologies, more particularly artificial intelligence (AI), offering the possibility of personalizing educational paths and optimizing their effects on language acquisition. Given these opportunities offered by AI, Cui et al., (2024) and Iannone & Giansanti, (2023) announce that the individualization of language learning support is now possible through an instantaneous analysis of children’s behaviors and the adjustments proposed according to the needs and progressions of the observed cases. The QTrobot, from the company LuxAI, is an illustrative example: through AI tools, it allows ASDs to develop their social and communication skills while adjusting their interactions (Li et al., 2024; Kotsi et al., 2025).

By using AI, APA can provide dynamic learning in which children are motivated and engaged. Many studies state that thanks to APA we can develop motor, behavioral, cognitive and social skills in subjects suffering from neurodevelopmental disorders, including ASD. Climbing helped stimulate sensorimotor development and promote social relationships. Indeed (Musiyenko, O., & Kizlo, N., (2019)). In order to put the project to the test, a proximity investigation is envisaged: we choose to accompany a population of 6 to 12 children, with ASD and with language disorders using an APA program based on AI tools for 12 weeks, at a rate of 3 sessions per week as urged by Frontiers (2024). The evaluation of social interactions and language skills before and after intervention would make it possible to verify the effectiveness of this model (Holmes, 2022). This investigation cannot begin without parental consent and without ensuring the confidentiality of the data and the well-being of the children (Klimova et al., 2023; Folio3AI Blog, 2024) Although we are still in the theoretical phase, our investigation is based on scientific research that has been able to prove the positive impact of AI on the social and communication skills of ASDs: the QTrobot as an example (Li et al., 2024; Smashing Magazine, 2024). Through the integration of AI into APAs, we aim for an innovative approach that will promote language acquisition in ASD and also better inclusion improving their quality of life (Reis et al., 2024).

Epidemiological profile of cancer patients in the region of Laayoune Sakia El Hamraa, Morocco

ABSTRACT: This study addresses the management of cancer patients in the Laayoune Sakia El Hamraa region, with particular attention to the epidemiological profile of cancer, prevailing approaches to care, and the principal challenges encountered. It further advances a set of strategies and interventions designed to strengthen the effectiveness of patient management. The findings demonstrate that sociodemographic determinants exert a considerable influence on both the type of cancer diagnosed and its clinical stage. The sampling frame was composed of 286 individuals identified from the oncology hospital database, from which 100 patients with various cancer types were selected for detailed analysis. Within this cohort, breast cancer (ICD-10 code C50) emerged as the most prevalent diagnosis, accounting for 47 cases. Distribution by stage revealed that 38 patients were diagnosed at stage I, 36 at stage II, 18 at stage III, and 8 at stage IV. In response to the identified gaps, the study proposes targeted strategies including economic interventions such as food subsidies and logistical measures, notably meal delivery services, aimed at improving consistent access to appropriate nutrition. Although the research acknowledges certain methodological constraints, it offers a robust platform for subsequent interventions and future investigations dedicated to optimizing cancer care, particularly in resource-limited and underserved contexts. The results underscore the importance of adopting a comprehensive and holistic model of nutritional management as a means of enhancing both the quality of life and clinical outcomes of patients affected by cancer.
